Timbuk2 Spire vs Rogue

Timbuk2 is a well-known brand in the market. Timbuk2 products are generally considered as high-quality items. Now, if you are looking for a nice and reliable retro backpack for daily commuting, there are two great models that may have captured your attention: Spire and Rogue. They both are available in various colors, and they both look great for commuting. So, should you choose Spire or Rogue? See the comparisons between Timbuk2 Spire vs Rogue below.

Design
Both Spire and Rogue are available in various color choices. Spire comes with 8 color choices, whereas Rogue comes with 7 color choices. Many of their color choices are similar, which are army/acid, carbon/fire, merlot, midway, surplus, and black. Spire has a navy color and the “new black” color which is darker than the regular black, almost pitch-black. Also, Spire’s army/acid color is paler. On the other hand, Rogue has a “storm” color which is pale light blue. Rogue’s army/acid color is more vibrant.

Both models are equipped with straps that attach to their top flaps. However, Spire only has one strap, whereas Rogue has two straps. This does not make much of a difference. They just have different looks. The Spire will probably be a little bit quicker to open than Rogue.

Both models have side pouches, but Spire’s pouches have more webbing and thus are slightly more flexible. There are two extra strips on each pouch that allow you to attach extra pouches. Rogue’s side pouches are not as flexible.
