Both CamelBak Rogue and CamelBak Classic are viable options when you are looking for a lightweight bare-bone hydration pack that does not break the bank. However, they are available in the same price range, with CamelBak Rogue being just a few dollars more expensive than CamelBak Classic. So, why is the price difference? What are the differences between Rogue and Classic, actually? Continue reading below to see the comparisons between CamelBak Rogue vs Classic.

Design and Size
In general, both CamelBak Rogue and CamelBak Classic are lightweight. You will be able to carry either of them around while cycling comfortably. Both are constructed from durable nylon, and both models come with the same color options. There are black, pure blue, racing red, and lemon green color options.

Indeed, CamelBak Rogue is a little bit larger and heavier than CamelBak Classic. The differences of CamelBak Rogue vs Classic are not very dramatic, but they are still quite significant. CamelBak Rogue measures 15.7 inches x 8.9 inches x 6.3 inches, and weighs about 230 grams when empty. In the heart of each model is a CRUX reservoir that is integrated with a standard exit port. Both CamelBak Rogue and CamelBak Classic have the same hydration capacity, which is 2.5 liters.

What differs them is the gear capacity. Both models are equipped with some storage where you can put down your gear while cycling. But the storage capacity of CamelBak Classic is only 0.5 liters. It is a small pocket that can hardly contain anything. Well, you can use it to put down your keys, but it is probably not enough for other stuff. However, there is a bungee cord to keep things in place inside the pocket, but be careful because the bungee cord is not all that strong.

On the other hand, CamelBak Rogue comes with a storage capacity of 2.5 liters. It is quite an improvement. Well, some people still find that the storage is not large enough for their liking, but this is meant to be a lightweight hydration pack, after all. At least, the storage is spacious enough for a mini pump, some energy bars, and some small items.
